YOUTH HOCKEY PROGRAMS

The John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation (JMF) carries forward the vision and passions that John and Matty championed during their lives. Central to this mission is removing barriers and expanding access to youth hockey, a cause that meant a great deal to both of them.

Through this grant opportunity, we aim to ensure that youth hockey programs have access to the resources needed to provide children the chance to experience the joy of the game—and to benefit from the teamwork, discipline, and personal growth it fosters. Before applying, please review the eligibility/criteria requirements and application process below before submitting your form.

Eligibility Requirements

The John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation welcomes applications from:

  • Programs located in the United States.

  • Non-profit organization, school sports program, or government-run program (e.g., community park district).

  • Already-established hockey programs.

  • Programs that foster teamwork, discipline, and personal growth–not solely technical skill development.

APPLICATION PROCESS

There are three simple steps:

  1. Complete and submit Grant Application below.

  2. JMF staff will review your application and may contact you if additional information is needed

  3. You will be notified of our final decision within six months of application submission. If a grant is awarded, our team will arrange payment directly to the organization.

Additional Information:

  • JMF may publicly announce grant recipients (e.g., in a press release).

  • JMF staff may request photos and testimonials for use in marketing materials and impact reports.

  • A JMF team member of the JMF team may follow up six months after the award to assess the grant’s impact.

  • Please share this opportunity with eligible programs that may benefit from JMF support.

The Hockey Families Grant Application Form is currently closed and will reopen on or about May 1, 2026.
