BRAND INSPIRATION
The John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation logo carries a story of both legacy and purpose.
In the logo design, The J and M stand for John and Matthew, with the J shaped as a hockey stick—honoring their love for the game. Three stripes cut across the mark, symbolizing the Foundation’s three-pillar mission: to uplift youth hockey initiatives, support hockey families who have faced tragedy, and stand with families impacted by drunk and reckless driving.
The black and white palette speaks to life’s contrasts—the darkness of loss and the light of hope that rises from it. Green was Matty's favorite color so it made a meaningful accent.
Understated yet bold, humble yet welcoming, the brand reflects the very spirit of John and Matthew, carrying their memory forward through action, compassion, and community.
